OP 726 has NOT been signed off yet. So the rumors that are going around on the Cascade yard by certain individuals are FALSE. We sat down with them on the first meeting and got no where with the Lt. I then refused to sit and confere with the administration after that. After Labar was called by myself I did go and sit one on one with the CDW. Everything that was put in OP726 I requested to be pulled. I have the final copy in my hands right now and will go through it. So do you guys want to still say that I layed down on 726? I don't think so. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth. I didn't lay down last year either. Again, get the facts first before you assume and trash talk. If I layed down as you say I did, our Administration would have had their way last year. This is a no brainer. We are all on the same team, why some feel that they have to split staff, it does nothing for us except make us weaker in our fight. So the people that think they can stir the pot and get hatred stirred up are doing more damage then good. There is a big difference on giving input and flat putting lies out there. But the good thing about this whole childish thing, it makes the haters look stupid because they are wrong all the time and it just help us when we show what we have been doing.
The 3% reduction plan that we discussed at our last meeting is going through change from DPA. As expected the state is violating their own rules AGAIN. This is not part of the original format. They plan on implimenting rolling lock downs and rotate yards. We will file a grievance everytime they redirect a position that is not on the 3% list. Adminstration did not bother to even sit down with us to discuss this with us. And remember, they don't have to if they don't want to since we don't have a freakin contract.
Also we were discussing the loss of Level 1 beds last month. This is going to take place in May. We will loose 139 beds on the Sierra Yard. We will be loosing 9.97 PY's. Again, the state is implimenting this state wide and they are not talking to CCPOA on any of this. They are just going forward. Remember, there will be another phase in September on loosing beds, which means more positions lost.
Between the States reduction plans and closing beds down, they are depleting our staff to unsafe numbers. Some Southern institutions are running picket lines in protest to the states implimentation of these. So when are you guys ready to step up and make a statement? Or is it easier to sit in your office and complain and do nothing.
There has been confusion on the third watch count procedures. At this time, there is no policy on you staying until the institutional count clears. Some supervisors are ordering staff that they have to stay on the yards instead of sitting in the foyer. In the Red DOM, it clearly states that after you have been properly relieved you cannot loiter in the work area. There is also the fact that relieved staff have no equipment if something does jump off. They cannot respond. Don't the supervisors see this is a staff safety issue? We are working on filing on this. Again, they are breaking their own DOM that they wrote. And if they are going to make you sit in the foyers until count clears, then there should be an E & E sheet there for staff to sign for accountability. We have tried to talk to the administration on this and not getting anywhere. They reply, "well what if there is an escape"? Well we can assume anything. So should we have extra staff during the weekends during count? It is a proven fact that most escapes happen during holidays, weekends ect. So what is the difference? If your tier count clears then there should not be no issue. And all this came from some one that had a wild hair to implement. Still looking for it in writing........... And the memos's that the Control Sergeant order staff to write when there is a bad count. Why are the Control Sergeants writing memo's when they screw up? Double standards?
The Medical Jobs that have been redirected every weekend, Sacramento is still waiting for notificaion. As I said before, it looks like they got the cart before the horse and now they are in a bind. Not suprised one bit.
Next week some of us are meeting with the Deputy Attorney General. If you have a major issue you want brought up, type it up and put it in my box by Tuesday. Or if you are interested in attending this meeting, contact me and I may have you attend personally. This is your time to put it down and do something that needs to be addressed.

So lets see, If CCC decides to just go ahead and implement, lets say O.P. 726, that would mean that Lori "ROLLED OVER". So when Cathey Prosper implemented Post and Bid that means Don "ROLLED OVER". that is not in fact what happened with post and bid, and we the current chapter have never portrayed it as such, in fact we have defended Don when those type of comments have been made. But when the story is headed that way the people opposing the current chapter label it (or anything or throwing members under the bus) as rolling over. Our members are why we continue to fight what has been a 2+ year(according to Don and his supporters "LOSING")Battle. Why are we losing (we are not losing)? we have elements within our own membership that are doing their damndest to make our efforts ineffective, case in point ask Don why he never turned over the chapter records, in those records is every local agreement ever, all of the Grievances that were won on behalf our members, and other records that would have gave us a leg up in the fights against administration. He has caused inestimable harm to the membership by not passing those records to us. He continues to show administration that there is a split among the membership that administration continues to attemp to leverage against us. I have yet to see him bring any of his concerns to the chapter meetings. But he is sure ready to air his grievances in front of an audience at the monthly training days, where this information ends up with administration. What!!! is he afraid to come to a meeting? If he has legitimate concerns then he should call one of his chapter representatives and let them bring it up, after all he has a couple of supporters on the board. He has not stepped in and offered any advice on any of the the items that he knows are being fought, but he is always willing to criticize what the current chapter is doing. Quit playing politics against your own team and play some against the real problems. Leave that crap for election time instead running the 2 year campaign you have been running. Quit hurting the members and help. Lay the blame where it really belongs, with CDC headquarters and administration. When we really do mess up "man up" and come tell us what you think we did wrong so we can have a chance to fix it, as it is the members who will suffer. If we don't try to fix it, then give us what we have coming, not what you have been doing for the last 2 years. Lori did not remove Don or Gary from the Steward list, Headquarters did! This chapter defended Don's right to represent members when he was still a steward, and we still do when it pertains to a member asking him to go with them to an interveiw. I dare to say this will not be the case if he is returned to chapter president!
There is a critical time ahead for all of us. Implemented Terms is up Sept. 19, 2010. This is a time when we all need to pull together and let administration know that we stand together. Nobody says you have to put us on your christmas list. Unions are formed by members, and unfortunately politics can be the biggest hinderance to a membership. Politics should be saved for the elections.

Personally I have seen at least 6 different chapter presidents come and go, and at least they were at work and knew what was going on on the yards. If Lori is going to be out for this long then she needs to step down!!!! If not at least come back to work on light duty. And I do not mean in I.S.T. Oh, and by the way she did not do any of the leg work on getting the 511 approved....
personally i like lori off duty, she has been getting more done and is much easier to contact. so don't know what your hater problem is. unless you are one of those cascade chapter haters. as far as the uniforms i know lori worked on it, i don't know who helped but i have listend to her and everything the board does she includes everybody, she doesn't say i did this or i did that. she always says WE did this or that. she includes everybody, including the couple lops that don't do anything on the board. so in otherwords we don't want her to step down. get over it. it's people like you that cause the conflict when we should be fighting this together. keep up the good work on seperating our cops.

That is how the site is set up. Most of your sites are this way. If you would like instant satisfaction, you could always run over to Paco Villa and see your post's immediatly if that would make you feel better.
I think there are bigger things in the state right now to worry about then wondering why your post isn't up immediatly. Makes a person wonder.

Like I said in another post (THAT WAS NOT POSTED) the only things that get approved for posting are things that are in favor of Lori. I know of at least 9 or 10 post that were submitted but never show up, so like I said before this is a one sided blog..She must not want people to know the truth...It also would be nice if she came back to work even if it was in a light duty post unless she can't handle being around the officers that she is supposed to be representing and quit using her wrist and heart (lack of) as an excuse.
The only comments that would not be approved are those that contain offensive language and or inapprpriate materials. Opposing veiwpoints are always posted. It is our belief that every member has a say here. But be aware that this site is hosted through blogger and they have rules that must be followed, or they could close down the site.
