CCC used to b one of the best prisons to work at.....
Here we go with our double standards with administration and custody. We have a Lt. taking pictures of staff sitting with their feet up on the desk, doors open, ect. and to boot~sent it via institutional e~mail to everybody (supervisors). Don't worry I have copies, and rest assure these will b sent to the AG and Inernal Affairs. It seems that CCC is not handling this issue, trying to sweep it under the rug. This is not acceptable! Who gave her permission to walk around to take pictures? And this is the same person that has had more then a dozen complaints against her on violations of staff safety and procedure violations BUT still CCC keeps her in her position. CCC has done nothing to discipline her over these years. This should and won't be tolerated. This person should b fired, demoted to an O.A. whatever, but not in her position. If we were allowed to bring in a recording device, the administration would be appalled. The trash talk that comes out of her mouth. When you are at that level, you must hold yourself to a high standard, but this person missed this in her o.j.t. class. This just makes me sick. What makes me more sick is CCC is allowing this crap to happen. Enough is enough. I have all the evidence I need for this and I will send it to the appropriate people down in Sac.

I sure am glad that someone has enough hair on their head to put a stop to her. You should of heard her running her gibs during the medical exercise today. I was appalled. Thanks Ron for standing up to her.
Way to go Lt. Glad the rest of Ca. will get to see the ignorant lazy overpaid state worker babysitters as they really are. The big cry babies keep complaining about the furloughs but they are getting what they deserve. They should be trimmed they don't work! They think that they are officers... give me a break! You rock Lt. Keep it up... nail them to the wall!
BTW typical state worker site the lame button is broken! They can't write, type, speak, work, or do anything right. Bunch of cry baby losers!!!!!!
WE think it is wonderful that the Lieutenant is actually doing her job by documenting and acknowledging the stupid actions of some guards. The walls have eyes and ears and the guards should be held at a higher standard to. WE are so happy she is there and getting up every day to go to her job unlike some staff. NO farmville or little walks around the block for 5 days in a row for her.... no way she actually gets to work and walks the toughest beat in the state with the rest of us. She doesnt moan and groan about a headache and she listens to people. Lieutenant thank you and don't let some people get you down. WE know the truth WE can't wait till November and then WE will have a new upbeat attitude and a leader. Stay strong R. WE are behind ya.
It would sure be nice that those anonymous writers actually have had a chance to work with a Lt like we are talking about as I am sure they would very quickly change their minds. What's with swearing about other officer's in front of others? This is really professional. Yes you really do rock Lt all the way to the bottom of the pit.
well you can tell most of the comments are from administration. the fac that she goes around with her camara talking pictures and posting them. who authorized this? would love to see the memo on that. and since she walks the toughest beat in the state, where does she walk? i have never seen her walking the yard taling to people. i see her degrading people in front of others like they are shit. how come nobody says anything about her bringing in her vacation CD to play on her state issued compter? or sending threatening e~mails to the supervisors? or changing performance reports when that person has not worked for her? or how about her screaming at the yard tower to shoot during a riot? the list goes on. she has done more things against policy then she has for. i think she is the ignorant, lazy state worker the bad apple to say. she has barely worked lined staff. went straight from a crappy mta to a lt. she has no clue how to run anything. good job for posting this and keeping us informed.

Working at CCC for over 19 years, I have never heard of anybody respecting this Lt. Or giving her Kudo's on her job. She disprespects staff and makes a jokes about it. But she thinks she walks on water. Whatever. Glad this was posted, This needs to be put out there and delt with. No more hiding behind your Captain. She has no business being in her position but still the management keeps her there. Why??
This is still a good place to work. The times sucks. If you want to change things then document and report. First locally and if that doesn't work move on. Bitching anonymously does not change a thing. Live like my old man used to say "Don't let the bitches get you down." That means the male and female variety.
Not much good as a MTA as far as I can remember. If a officer would have done this we would be on the beach without pay.
Enough of this anonymous stuff already. No I will not use the lieutenants name but I will use mine.
First, bringing any recording device into an institution is a major violation.
Second, sending those pictures via E-mail violated the employees rights (yeah, I know, what rights!).
Third, said Lt. in fact has failed to follow procedures on a number of occasions, and placed staff in danger. I know I was there! And it was documented and basically ignored!
I do not believe she is capable of carrying out the duties of the watch commander and have serious doubts as to whether she should be in uniform at all. It will take a staff member being hurt or killed to finally end her reign. She has let those bars go to her head and has forgot that this department is made of dedicated staff. All she sees is those evil Officers around her. It is also unfortunate that there are first line supervisors that believe that her way of dealing with staff is just and proper. It also is disturbing that so many administrators, that should know better, also seem to think she is the just great!
We really need a watch commander that is the model, a role model, of a supervisor. We do not have that at all. A watch commander has to be able to punish and praise, not only punish. A watch commander also has to be just and fair, that is not what we have. A watch commander has to be there for staff, when it is appropriate and to be there to correct when that is also necessary.
A supervisor should be there to train staff if they are deficient, instead the new way is to punish them. I have had butt chewings by old time supervisors that held a lot more weight than any of the paper that is so casually tossed around nowadays. Why the paper? do you really need those brownie points or are you trying to have well trained and disciplined staff?
In these times of trouble we used to pull together but now it seems that is no longer THE WAY!
